Spar-B-Q 2026!

This weekend we held our very first Spar-B-Q, and it was an absolute blast! We opened the day up to guests and were excited to welcome fencers from the Baltimore Academy of Defense to join us on the floor. It was a great mix of fencing, hanging out, and spending time with old and new friends in the wider HEMA community.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the day special—and especially to everyone who brought food for the potluck. We had an incredible spread including brisket, pulled pork, pit beef, turkey, pasta salad, pico and chips, baked beans, and more. Between the fencing and the food, there was never a dull moment. We had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to making Spar-B-Q even bigger next year. Thanks to everyone who helped make our first one such a success!
