Who we are
MyTHS, Maryland Training in Historical Swordsmanship, is a nonprofit HEMA club in Forest Hill, Maryland, teaching Historical European Martial Arts to students from Harford County, Cecil County, Baltimore County, Baltimore, and Delaware. We offer beginner and ongoing training in longsword, rapier, saber, sword and buckler, dagger, wrestling, and other forms of historical fencing in a welcoming, community-focused environment.
Our classes combine modern athletic training with the study of historical martial arts sources and fencing masters, including Joachim Meyer for German longsword, Capo Ferro for Italian rapier, Spanish Destreza traditions for rapier, Roworth and Angelo for saber, I.33 for sword and buckler, and other European martial traditions. Whether you are looking for sword fighting classes, historical fencing, martial arts near Bel Air, or HEMA near Baltimore or Delaware, MyTHS helps students learn real swordsmanship through research, practice, sparring, and community.
