Join us for a legendary afternoon of tabletop roleplaying. Whether you’re a Level 20 Paladin or picking up a d20 for the first time, your seat is waiting. All proceeds directly support Maryland Traditional Historical Swordsmanship (MyTHS).

Why We Play: The Mission Behind the Dice

Starting a HEMA club is a feat of arms in itself. As a new and growing community, our mission is to make historical fencing accessible to everyone—but building a functional armory is a heavy lift.

Your seat at the table directly builds our club:

  • Equipping the Next Generation: We are constantly welcoming new beginners. To keep them safe and training effectively, we need a steady supply of "loaner" gear, including masks, gloves, and protective jackets.

  • Maintaining the Steel: Steel swords and training tools take a beating. Proceeds will help us replace aging equipment and maintain a high standard of safety for our practitioners.

  • Securing the Arena: Our dream is to host regional tournaments right here in Maryland. Funds from this event will go toward securing professional venues and infrastructure to put our athletes to the test.

Every critical hit you land during Slice and Dice helps us put a sword in a student's hand and a roof over a fencer's head. Whether you’re here for the loot or the lore, thank you for helping MyTHS grow from a new club into a local legacy.

Event Logistics

The Armory

37 North Main Street, Bel Air, MD 21014 The historic Bel Air Armory provides the perfect medieval backdrop for our games. Free parking is available on-site and in nearby municipal lots.

Schedule

  • 12:30 PM: Gates Open (Check-in & Table Assignments)

  • 1:00 PM: Opening Remarks & MyTHS Demonstration

  • 1:30 PM: Dice Hit the Table (Gameplay Begins)

  • 6:30 PM: Final Loot Drop & Closing Ceremony

What to Bring

  • Your favorite set of dice (though we have spares!)

  • A thirst for adventure.

  • Note: This is a fundraiser; keep an eye out for our "Reroll Raffle" during the event!
